Plumbing Designer
REHAU Construction LLC, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an ambitious, experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer (ASPE Certified in Plumbing (CPD) required) for our Building Solutions Division at our regional headquarters in Minneapolis MN OR Leesburg, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for plumbing and fire protection design for commercial and residential projects. Duties include system design, drawing production, specification writing, creating of shop drawings and submittal packages, and performing plumbing and fire protection calculations.
Specific job responsibilities for the Plumbing Designer include:
- Provide plumbing and fire protection designs for commercial and residential projects
- Produce drawings, specifications, submittal packages, piping designs, and calculations for customer projects
- Support the development of REHAU plumbing and fire protection software
- Support MEP firms in developing REHAU specified systems
- Experience with BIM and CAD
Qualifications:
- ASPE Certified in Plumbing (CPD) required
- NICET Certification in Fire Protection preferred
- Five or more years of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design
- Advanced skills in Computer Aided Design software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Solidworks)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills
- Ability to work accurately under time pressure with multiple assignments and projects
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers in multiple departments and at all levels
- Willingness to travel on occasion
