In this role, you will troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and failures of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, LP, and diesel engine systems and their components. Should be able to work on a diverse range of mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, excavators, dozers, haul trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, golf carts and cranes etc. Should have a strong knowledge about equipment and the ability to be able to diagnose the problems and fix them in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs repair work on wide variety of vehicles and equipment assigned to the maintenance shop
  • Completes preventive maintenance by inspecting, servicing, and correcting discrepancies in accordance with maintenance policies, directives and advisories; Performs more complex repairs
  • Responds to service calls and performs repair
  • Reports work status and special problems to lead or manager in a timely manner.
  • Accurately records time, details and parts of repairs
  • Performs work as directed by lead or manager
  • Adheres to all safety procedures - OSHA, Company and Customer standards
  • Follows verbal and written instructions; meets schedule and attendance requirements; performs all physical requirements of position
  • Completes work order documents noting time and parts and supplies used. Verifies working order of equipment after servicing is complete
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
  • Order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance
  • Performs major repairs on Diesel Engines, Brakes, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers'specifications
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with managers, coworkers, and user departments
  • Assists other technicians in repairs
  • Other unlisted duties will be assigned by immediate supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid Driver's license
  • 3 years proven mobile equipment repair
  • Must possess own tools, w/necessary additional tools
  • Strong mechanical skills: Diesel, Hydraulic, Electrical etc....
  • Must be able to read codes, instructions and electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Willing to learn new methods of working with others and on equipment
  • The trait of being dependable and trustworthy
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills in Microsoft office applications (word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
