In support of Charter s role as a leader in bringing customers the best entertainment experience, the company is in search of a leader with knowledge of content, platforms and consumer behavior to creatively curate, present and promote the company s ever expanding Video on Demand (VOD) library across various platforms and guides.

The Director will be responsible for working with and coordinating content and content providers to continually and creatively showcase fresh, timely and high-priority titles in our VOD library. The ideal candidate will have a passion for entertainment and an appreciation of its worth to the consumer that they can effectively convey in the form of impactful and innovative in-guide stunts and promotions. They will be able to create and manage a plan and execute against it to leverage the best available content with the features and capabilities of Charter s interactive guides to drive awareness, adoption and usage of the On Demand platform.

The role is suited for an innovator who is willing to shape and lead how content will be promoted and marketed across new media and who can manage the operational complexities and intracacies of multiple sources and platforms. He/she will have extraordinary interpersonal, creative and analytical skills and will own the customer facing presentation of Charter s world-class VOD product.

This person will have led and directed content management teams and have experience working across internal and external organizations to drive commitment and results. They will know the ins and outs of content lifecycles and licensing and be familiar with effective and impactful promotion tactics. And, they will have a strong appreciation and understanding of the underlying analytical measurements that define success and performance - as measured by viewership, audience, and most importantly customer satisfaction.





MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently connects customers with the best content for the best experience.

Manages content placement and promotion with a keen focus on the the program guide and customer experience.

Defines and manages a promotion and stunt calendar to time with content releases, windows and marketing events to result in maximum reach and impact.

Works well and establishes credibility with content providers to identify the best content and opportunities for promotion and publicity and coordinates and secures resources to ensure execution

Determines and monitors key performance customer experience indicators for the video product portfolio to assess, refine and communicate impact of their efforts.

Drives customer-facing initiatives that generate increased engagement, revenue growth and market penetration for the video product.

Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Strong knowledge of and experience with legacy video platforms, including IPG, CPE, and VOD
Strong knowledge of broadband services, technology, and marketing
Strong knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services
Ability to be creative and innovative willingness to push boundries to drive results
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
Ability to manage a team


Education
BS/BA in business or marketing
MBA is preferred

Related Work Experience
Number of Years 7
Experience in product management and product marketing
High level of experience working in the cable or media industries. Experience with VOD a plus.
