Accurately document all work performed and recommended. * Inspect assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended may include road tests. * Clearly communicate with service advisor if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. * Connect with Parts Department to obtain needed parts and reports status of parts to service advisor. * Use approved repair techniques and materials to service each vehicle to pre-concern condition. * Ensure appearance of customers vehicles is maintained or improved notify service advisor of any change in the appearance or condition of the vehicle. * Report machinery defects or malfunctions and maintain all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Operate all tools and equipment safely. * Complete manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events as requested. Keep up to date on technical bulletins. Qualifications * Able to perform day-to-day service activities in a technician environment. * Have experience working as GM Technician and provide his or her own tools. Must be able to furnish GM Training records. Ideal candidate would be able to furnish proof of Master-level certification. * Previous experience as a general electrical, transmission, and/or diesel technician is preferred. * Be able to lift up to one hundred (100) lbs without assistance and stand, sit, bend, and twist for extended periods of time on concrete. * Have strong attention to detail and be organized. * A self-motivated team player that is able to communicate effectively with team members and works well with other technicians and service advisors. * Have a valid driver's license and able to drive both automatic and manual vehicles * Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record. * Pass a criminal background check and drug test. Also subject to random drug testing at the company's request.
