Napleton Automotive Group ranked 36 out of the top 150 automotive groups in the U.S. for 2016 based on new car volume!! Job Duties: * Performs interior / exterior porters as directed by management. Standards for detail and car washing vary and may include but not limited to the following: * Wash exterior, clean interior/exterior windows, interior/exterior mirrors, wipe down door jams, clean upholstery, rugs, mats and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices * Apply wax to vehicle exterior and wipe / buff surface and claying when necessary * Revitalizes and uses preservation agents to interior vinyl / leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals. * Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment while following product manufacturers recommendations * Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents * Restores appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces utilizing touch-up paint, dyes and other appropriate materials including tire dressing * Removes all traces of any protective film, coverings or adhesive applied for shipment or sale * Apply paint sealant protection, Xzilon treatments, headlight restoration, air freshener, enzyme cleaner and removal of tar from vehicle as directed * Perform minor body repair of scratches and blemishes using buffers and / or wet sanders * Inspect vehicle for noticeable defects; dents, scratches, torn upholstery, poor mechanical operation and reports all defects to manager immediately * Maintain inventory of cleaners, compounds and tools to properly and efficiently complete assigned work * Drive all vehicles in accordance with Safro policies and Wisconsin State Law; including seat belts when leaving the lot at all times * Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools and equipment * Maintain cleanliness of lot vehicles * Park and organize vehicles on lot * Understand and comply with federal, state and location regulations that affect service operations such as safety rules and procedures, hazardous waster disposal, OSHA compliance and right to know communication. * Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), i.e. use proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection. * Appropriately and safely operate all tools and equipment as mandated through safety training. Report any safety, equipment defects or malfunction issues to management * Complete and follow the tasks as outlined on the daily schedule (am or pm) * Snow removal from dealership grounds and vehicles Job Requirements: * Previous experience in automotive detailing is required. * Physical duties include: standing for extended hours, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, etc. * Valid driver's license is required.
