Finishing Operator II - Mailing Department - Full-time / Part-time

Capable of setting up and running any number of various types of finishing equipment. This includes but is not limited to stitchers, folders, gluers, Inkjets, inserters, and other support equipment. This position reports to the Department Manager and/or shift Supervisor. All HWI associates are expected to model our company core values. Customer Success, Integrity, Innovation, Involvement and Excellence in day to day work life and decision making. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Maintain quality and production standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. * Thorough working knowledge of at least one (1) piece of finishing equipment. * Set up, operate and adjust equipment, and be able to meet established production standards regularly. * Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions. * Continually monitor quality of finished product per established QC SOP. * Insure work area is free of hazards and clean of debris. * Follows all required safety procedures and communicates all concerns regarding safety to department manager. * Completes paperwork to assure proper job counts along with job track ability. * Responsible for accurate time keeping and data collection through the MIS system. * Receive final OK or approval from Department Supervisor or Department Manager before running job. * Involve Department Supervisor and/or Department Manager anytime concerns exist relative to quality, schedules, delays, etc. * Read and understand the Job Work Order for instructions and specifications specific to the manufacturing of a job. Produce all jobs according to the specifications and instructions within the Work Order. * Complete production time keeping records (Data Collection) via Printstream inclusive of logging time against the proper activity codes, quantity produced, and materials where applicable. * Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Must have the necessary machine skills to effectively and efficiently operate at least one (1) piece of Finishing Equipment. * Quality conscious and detail oriented. * Henry Wurst, Inc. is a detailed oriented, deadline driven company with high expectations. * Ability to read and understand written instructions and carry out tasks to meet instructions.
