Bindery Operator - Perfect Binder - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description Henry Wurst, Inc. is searching for finishing operators with experience in the operation of a PERFECT BINDER who possess a solid understanding of production. The successful candidate must be able to set up, operate, and troubleshoot all finishing equipment and have the ability to train others. Job Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Maintain quality and production standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. * Thorough working knowledge inclusive of Make-ready, Run, along with basic maintenance requirements on all finishing equipment. * Set up, operate and adjust equipment, and be able to meet established production standards regularly. * Must be able to effectively and efficiently operate multiple machines simultaneously. * Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions. * Continually monitor quality of finished product per established QC guidelines. * Insure work area is free of hazards and clean of debris. * Follows all required safety procedures and communicates all concerns regarding safety to department manager. * Complete paperwork to assure proper job counts along with job track ability. * Responsible for accurate time keeping and data collection through the MIS system. * Involve Department Supervisor and/or Department Manager anytime concerns exist relative to quality, schedules, delays, etc. * Read and understand the Job Work Order\" for instructions and specifications specific to the manufacturing of a job. Produce all jobs according to the specifications and instructions within the Work Order. * Complete production time keeping records (Data Collection) via Printstream inclusive of logging time against the proper activity codes, quantity produced, and materials where applicable. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: * Approve sets ups and make ready of level 2 & 3 operators before the jobs get produced. * Perform reasonable repairs and maintenance as needed. * Assist in assigning work and machines when required.
