Job Duties:
Implements and maintains geographic databases
Creates and analyzes spatial features
Reviews and evaluates GIS data supplied by others- recommending any necessary changes
Selects and adapts standard GIS techniques, procedures and criteria to fit each project
Works closely with engineers and project managers to ensure GIS applications are accurate and complete
- Prefer Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline, Geography, or Computer Science. Minimum of high-school or technical-school training with courses in GIS, computer-aided drafting, and/or information technology
- No experience required with a college degree, 2 years without, 4 years GIS experience
