CHICAGO: Green Office Partner is hiring a full-time/salaried, highly skilled Field Service Technician (Printer/Copier Repair), to assist in supporting our contracted and break-fix clients with field service maintenance and installations. A candidate should be experienced in HP Printer/MFD repair (Xerox is a big plus), be a team player and have a great attitude! You should be mechanically inclined, comfortable interacting with clients, have basic network connectivity skills and not be afraid of a sales opportunity. Green Office Partner specializes in the service and support of HP and Xerox Imaging and Document Solutions. Responsibilities: Provide onsite customer service, field repair, and maintenance of Printers and MFD s in our customer's facilities. Service Technicians strive to provide the highest level of customer service, while making the devices run flawlessly without error, and managing the client s onsite environment. Green Office Partner technicians have the technical ability to utilize electronic, electrical, mechanical and computer networking skills to troubleshooting difficult problems and to ensure long term customer satisfaction through regular maintenance. Service Excellence * Gives meticulous attention to detail on all service calls. * Trouble shoots using a logical step-by-step process of elimination to properly conclude and address the issue. * Consistently prints and addresses jam list and resets jam counter on every call. * Performs the total call routine to maximize the uptime and number of copies/prints between calls. * Cleans the machine inside and out on every call. * Verifies firmware and software are up to date on all visits. * Consistently call all customers to inform them that you are in receipt of their service call within 30 minutes of receiving the call from dispatch. * Communicates effectively with client site contact and addresses the fleet on each call. * Effectively manages time and activity to maximize utilization. * Effectively and proactively uses parts to maximize machine reliability and keep up with part life yields. Effective Territory/Inventory Management * Effectively works with dispatch to achieve Response Time goals for designated territory. * Is well informed of the \"Top Priority\" customers within their territory and consistently works towards total Customer Satisfaction. * Accurately and timely closes calls through dispatching software. * Accurately and timely submits all paperwork. * Maintains an organized and accurate inventory. * Works with the parts department to consistently track, order and reorder parts to maintain an effective inventory to maximize 1st call efficiency. Excellence in Communication * Able to calmly discusses the situation with the customer by first listening and gathering all pertinent facts and then implementing a solution. * Consistently works with dispatch and keeps customers informed regarding ETA, especially if delayed. * Keeps Management and Sales informed regarding all customer escalation issues. * Follows up with Parts Manager and customers regarding all \"incomplete\" parts issues. * Handling Objections or Difficult Situations well. * Escalates situations to the Field Service Manager and Sales, when needed in a timely manner. Requirements and Skills: * We are seeking hard working, customer focused, self-motivated technicians with a technical degree, strong mechanical aptitude, strong computer proficiencies and effect troubleshooting skills. * Minimum of 2-3 years related experience, with certified training and service experience preferred. * Two years technical school or associates degree preferred. * 2 to 5 years of HP printer repair expertise, a huge plus. * Xerox Printer & MFP experience, a huge plus. * Must possess a valid driver s license and clean driving record. * Ability to provide own, reliable vehicle for business use, a plus. Mileage reimbursed. * Must follow the policies and procedures set forth by Green Office Partner. * Basic computer knowledge* MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook). * Must be able to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds, walk up and down stairs, bend down, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at floor level, and walk long distances.
