E-COMMERCE TEAM LEADER - POSITION SUMMARY

Goodwill of Greater Washington operates a rapidly growing online retail store specializing in reselling donated Books, DVDs, Electronics, Musical Instruments, and Antiques located in Washington, DC.

We sell our items on Amazon.com, eBay.com, Half.com, and ShopGoodwill.com.

The E-Commerce Lead will work with the Manager of E-Commerce as a team leader to operate GGW s e-Commerce retail department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as lead for a team that operates GGW s e-Commerce retail department. Ensures that all e-Commerce team members have their assignments for the day and are performing those assignments efficiently and according to GGW standards and procedures.
  • Enforces GGW E-Commerce standard operating procedures and ensures that all E-Commerce quotas are met on a daily basis.
  • Monitors merchandise being sold online, addresses and corrects any problems or discrepancies, and answers customers questions courteously and promptly.
  • Ensures that new orders and the postage from the previous day are printed out, sorted and assigned to a fulfillment associate, or other staff member as needed for retrieval, packing and shipping. Ensures that international labels and manifests are prepared for orders overseas.
  • Ensures that all processed orders are picked up by the USPS or UPS on a daily basis.
  • Processes customer refunds, returns, and postage credits. Works with accounting to ensure proper handling of all Paypal payments and credits.
  • Reports to the E-Commerce manager sales numbers in a manner and duration designated by the Manager.
  • Ensures that scorecards and other spreadsheets reporting financial and sales data are posted and kept up to date.
  • Assist listeners with pre-sorting books as needed.
  • Scan and post books on a daily basis, meeting quotas as assigned by the E-Commerce Manager.
  • Completes all assigned tasks in efficient and concise manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the E-Commerce manager.


Required Qualifications:


  • High school diploma, or equivalent and two years of relevant work experience. College degree preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Microsoft Office proficient, and working knowledge of the Internet, specifically with selling on Amazon.com, eBay.com, and/or ShopGoodwill.com
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for up to seven (7) hours per eight (8) hour shift
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds frequently
  • Excellent customer service related skills
  • Has experience with online order management and working directly with customers
  • Excellent customer service skills; can handle difficult customers with finesse and poise
  • Can keep details organized and take initiative without supervision


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous work experience in an online retail environment

2. College degree
