Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating aforklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count items throughout thebakery. The Operator is accountable for the safe and ef cient operation of thevehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.

Job Specifics:

  1. Unload inbound shipments safely and move productto storage locations. Ef ciently stack and store the items in the appropriateareas.

  2. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments areaccurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.

  3. Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuringthat the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Performpicking duties in an ef cient manner that meets customer service and GSBstandards.

  4. Ef ciently move product from staging and/orstorage areas into trailers.

  5. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product andmaterials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment. Use radio frequencyequipment for picking, receiving, put-away, and load functions, as required.Maintain the facility s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderlyfashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on theforklift or other equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and ef cientmanner following prescribed work methods.

  6. Keep appropriate records and reports toguarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist inphysical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.

  7. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in amanner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSD Standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalence in training

  • Must have prior forklift experience, minimum ofat least 1 to 2 years

  • Familiarity with material handling and radiofrequency equipment is needed.

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.Understand, read and write
