Overview

General RV Center, one of the largest and most successful RV dealers in the nation, has an immediate opening for a full-time Service Manager at our Jacksonville location. General RV Center is a true success story spanning back to 1962 and flourishing to a worldwide leader in the RV sector with 12 locations and a global online presence.

A successful candidate will be an experienced professional that has managed and assisted in the growth of a Service department and its employees. Experience within a the RV, Automotive, or Heavy Equipment sector is a must.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing all Service operations and service employees.
  • Training management and service employees to operate at optimal efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strong relations with management at the store level.
  • Identify and provide solution for issues that are not resolved at the store level.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks in order to manage a high volume service department.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting Service personnel at the store level.
  • Ensure Service division is running smoothly and working in conjunction with Parts and Sales.
  • Maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
Qualifications
  • Mimimum of 2 years of service management experience is must. Preferably in RV or Automotive.
  • Must possess strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong understanding of Service Department operation and performance metrics.
  • Results driven and a desire to make a positive impact.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to listen and provide solutions to customer issues.
  • Reliable and strong work ethic. Professional appearance is a must.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
