CCIE Cisco Data Center Network Engineer

GDH Consulting is seeking a CCIE Cisco Data Center Network Engineer responsible for providing in-depth support and consulting services for a large enterprise clients. The Cisco Data Center Network Engineer delivers technologies, solutions and services customers' needs to expertly manage the customers' network. Job Responsibilities:


  • Your new role will be part of a team that supports client data center issues. You will be responsible for consulting on best networking practices within a Cisco environment, and working with Cisco Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k, 2k equipment.
  • Data center design and network engineering background will help you to be successful in this team.



CCIE Cisco Data Center Network Engineer


Qualifications:


  • CCIE R/S or CCIE Data Center
  • Act as Tech Lead / SME for the NEXUS/DCN Data Center infrastructure
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 (ACI / SDN experience preferred), Nexus 7000, Nexus 5000, Nexus 2000, Nexus 1000v platform is required
  • Five years of experience with Cisco network products
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex data center environments.
  • Should be able to perform analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems in the Data Center Environment.
  • Analysis of highly complex network designs with one of more of the following technologies: Nexus 1k 2k 5k 7k, 9k, UCS
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus 1000V switches for VMware.
  • VPC, FabricPath, OTV, NX-OS, IP internetworking, LAN Switching, Network Virtualization
  • IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
  • Python scripting is a plus


Key Domain expertise: Ability to Design, Deploy, Manage, Maintain and Operate an End-to-End DCN Nexus Environment.

  • Networking: OSI Layer 2 (Spanning tree, vPC, EtherChannel, VLAN, etc), Layer 3 switching /routing (OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, IPv4/6), DNS/DHCP WAN/ISP, network virtualization (N1kv, VRF), basics of higher layer protocols: SSL/TLS, HTTP, real-time traffic (voice/video), NFS, database access protocols

  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
  • Can handle multiple projects and tight deadlines

Required Certifications: CCIE Data Center or CCIE R/S certification preferred. May be substituted with equivalent experience and/or CCNP.
