Facilities Maintenance Tech - Full Time - Full-time / Part-time

The Thunderbird Senior Living Community which is nestled in a quiet, residential neighborhood in beautiful Northwest Glendale, is seeking Full Time team members for their Maintenance Department. As the Facility Maintenance Technician you will support this Independent Living and Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility with solution-oriented maintenance services and support for all residents and team members. As part of our wellness program, employees are eligible for a free gym membership. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: * Maintenance of lighting and very light construction. Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing and related equipment fixtures. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, standards, and service agreements. * Be proficient in work place safety standards. * Prepare vacant units for new move-ins using approved punch list to update finishes, furnishings, etc.;Complete work orders according to designated priority. * Report problems to supervisor regarding building systems and equipment; Order and maintain supplies for areas of responsibility. Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines. Required to maintain inventory of supplies, service manuals, and logs; Maintain clean work areas, including mechanical equipment rooms, shops, and tools. Adjust functional components and control instruments to ensure proper operation of equipment. * Respond to emergencies, security, fire, and disaster calls. Is aware of the facility emergency procedures and personal responsibility in emergency drills. REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES : General maintenance experience required; Able to read, write and speak English. Basic math skills. Able to follow oral or written instructions.
