Forcepoint is a premier data security solutions company providing industry leading customer solutions in cyber security. Forcepoint Development Operations is currently seeking a talented and experienced computer Network Engineer with a strong focus on supporting software development environments for our sites across the U. S. The position is located in Richardson, TX and will support multiple environments locally and remotely.


Essential Functions



  • Configure, install, and support network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, vlans, gateways, etc.

  • Ensure that all network equipment complies with industry best practices and corporate standards

  • Undertake routine preventative measures and implements and maintains network security and ensures security compliance

  • Perform Linux system administration on development lab infrastructure services.

  • Partner directly with software engineering management to gather requirements for a very dynamic development

  • Maintain the health and availability of the development environments to include troubleshooting and trouble ticket resolution

  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational security guidelines

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud Services


Education, Experience, and Skills



  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • 6 + years of practical IT experience.

  • Demonstrated Virtualization experience and data storage management (VMware, Hyper-V, etc).

  • Ability to acquire a US government issued security clearance.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of various Cisco, HP/Aruba Juniper, and Palo Alto devices and their respective operating system preferred.

  • Storage management and configuration preferred.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and must be a flexible, organized, thoughtful, proactive team player who can work with minimal guidance and demonstrate strong abilities in communication and in customer service.
