Full Job Description:Lazy Bear is looking for a full-time Service Manager with experience in fine dining and a passion for Michelin level service. This management role will be responsible for overall guest satisfaction, managing the FOH staff during service and set up and having a crucial insight regarding all facets of the restaurant. This includes working closely with the Chef, Operations Team, and other Front of House management to oversee many day to day tasks, as well as larger projects. Ideally the person who will take this position is someone who is passionate about exploring new restaurants and the bounds of hospitality.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:-2-3 years of Maitre D' or Management experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining establishment-Passion for food, wine, and the restaurant industry-Court of Master Sommeliers certification or equivalent wine/spirits knowledge is a plus-College degree preferred-Computer literate (knowledge of Google Docs, Dropbox, Illustrator, and Excel is essential)-Proficient in verbal/written English, bonus points for additional languagesJOB DUTIES:-Take the lead in upholding the FOH service standards and operations when the General Manager is not on the floor-Create several daily and weekly documents for use in service, including menus, floor plans, and guest lists-Assist with ticket sales and overall administrative management-Take on and identify new projects to improve and develop the restaurant as a whole-Identify high profile guests and follow through with any necessary special treatment-Conduct a daily manager's meeting detailing all important notes/changes for the evening-Monitor all dietary restrictions and special guests from the time they book their ticket, to the end of their meal-Provide a very high level of service to guests in a communal dining experience-Work closely with cooks to have full understanding of our menu and overall mission-Train new team members to the standards of the restaurant-Maintain an elegant and professional manner on the floor at all timesAbout Lazy Bear:Lazy Bear is a unique, 2 Michelin-starred, fine dining restaurant in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District.
