Job DescriptionThis is an Independent Contractor position (several positions available)The Architectural As-built Surveyor position includes on-site documentation/ measurements of commercial retail spaces located throughout the US, including Alaska and Hawaii, resulting in a thorough and accurate record of the existing conditions of a building and/or space. Work may include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:Documentation/drafting using AutoCAD or AutoCAD compatible software
- Floor plan
- Reflected Ceiling Plan
- Furniture / fixture plan
- Site Plan
- Structural, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing plans
- Photo documentation of all surveyed spaces
- Site Survey/Field ReportThe Independent contract surveyor will have a general understanding of building construction, floor plans and the ability to successfully document all elements of the site as required in the scope of work. Timely communication with team members is critical in delivering complete and accurate survey documents within the scheduled deadline. The position may involve extensive travel with little notice; the successful applicant must demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and dependability.Survey Tools needed for the job:
- Laptop Computer/Tablet with AutoCAD or AutoCAD compatible software
- Laser Measuring devise
- Digital Camera or smartphone (not more than 2 years old)Compensation - Compensation varies per survey / client, scope of work and complexity of the site.
