QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Hours are part-time, flexible during the week, but MUST be available for EVERY Saturday 7:00 am - 12 noon. * Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. * Excellent communication and human relations skills. * Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. * Professional appearance * Excellent organizational skills * Computer knowledge * Must have basic mathematical skills (must be able to add, subtract, and work with fractions and percentages) Essential Duties: * Greet customers courteously and enthusiastically. * Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received. * Operate cash register. * Compute or recompute the customer s bill using the dealership s computer system. * Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts to customers. * Reconciles cash drawer daily. * Maintains and files repair orders. * Closes all open invoices. * Assists service department with telephone coverage. * Provides clerical assistance to the service department. * Communicate with Service Manager to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price. * Refer customers who have additional questions (e.g. questions about their repair order) to the service consultant or other appropriate individual. * Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the complaining customer to the appropriate individual for further communication. * Adhere to all credit policies sent by management. * Cross train with the Warranty Clerk and Biller/Pricer; cooperate with all employees. * Maintains facilities and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
