Summary The professional technician is responsible for the repair and installation of products in the customer s homes and businesses. Products repaired and installed include the following appliances: Cooktop Stoves, Dishwashers, Dryers & Washers, Freezers, Garbage Disposers.Ice Makers, Ice Machines, Microwaves, Ovens, Range Hoods, Range Tops, Refrigerators, Stove Repairs, Trash Compactors, Water Filters, Wine Cabinets and possible other home appliances. The technician provides timely, quality repair and installation of customers products while maintaining top notch customer service. Brands repaired will include all makes and models depending on part availability and age of the appliance. We provide a service van, gas card, specialized tools (such as the company wall oven dolly), uniforms, I-Pad, periodic training, 7 paid holidays, commensurate vacation, benefits, and a supportive/caring work environment. **Benefits and Compensation * Benefits that will be offered are participation in Medical, Dental, and / or Vision Insurance. * We are currently providing Life Insurance. * We are considering adding Disability Insurance, and Accidental Insurance. * Compensation will be based on experience and work ethic. Typically $30,000 - $70,000 a year, plus additional incentives!!! Duties and Responsibilities * Accurately diagnosing and repairing appliances/equipment in the customer s home and business * The ability to select and use basic tools or instruments to assemble, adjust, calibrate, repair or test various products * The ability to give the customer an accurate estimate of the cost of repair or installation * The ability to read, understand and navigate through information presented in schematics, diagrams, blueprints or other pictorial displays on an I-Pad * The ability to use an I-Pad for service call processes, routing functions and parts/inquiries/ordering * The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances * The ability to provide knowledgeable, courteous and professional customer service * The knowledge of basic electrical principles * The ability to work Base customer service hours: M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm Variable and flexible hours. Saturday opportunities could be available if desired by the technician. Education and Experience * Technical School Training preferred but not mandatory * High School Degree or GED required. (Some higher level education preferred) * Minimum of 2 years professional work experience as an appliance repair technician (5 years minimum preferred) Experience / Attributes * Pleasant, polite manner for dealing with co-workers as wells as customers * Ability to work both independently and as a team member * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must have a great attitude, be proactive, and be a consummate professional * Must be dependable, responsible, ambitious, flexible, positive, and a hard worker with a \"can do\" attitude * Looking for a technician that will grow into a leadership position Certificates, Licenses and Registrations * Refrigeration License, Sealed System Certified preferred * Valid Driver s License and insurable Motor Vehicle Record * Certified Appliance Professional (CAP) desired but not required * Major Appliance Technician Training and Certification desired
