SUMMARY: The Restoration/Mitigation Technician assists in the obligations of Paul Davis Restoration through the delivery of exceptional customer service through emergency and restoration services. For 50 years, Paul Davis Restoration has provided services to cleanup and repair damage toresidential, commercial and institutional properties due to; water, fire, mold, storm or other disasters. REPORTS TO: Paul Davis Emergency Services Mitigation Manager or Lead Technician IICRC Certifications for Mitigation Technician Mitigation Technicians must obtain IICRC certifications when classes are available in the following categories. Having any of these certifications is highly desirable but not required at time of application: * Water Restoration Technician * ASD * Fire & Smoke Technician * Applied Microbial Remediation * Carpet & Upholstery Technician * EPA Lead Certification * Subrogation Training ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS * Professional represent the Paul Davis principles of honesty and integrity * Performs any and all directives from the Owner of Lead Mitigation Technician * Responds to emergency losses * Performs Emergency Water Extraction and Drying Services(including water extraction, demolition, moisture testing, developing drying plans, and providing project documentation) * Assists in Emergency Fire/Smoke Services(to include demolition, cleaning, deodorization, inventorying, pack outs, board-up's, and securing the structure) * Assists in Mold Remediation (including demolition and cleaning) * Assists in preparation and completion of Carpet/Upholstery Cleaning * Performs on-call rotation as needed, typically one weekend per month and one weeknight per week(responding to after hour emergencies) * Performs basic truck, equipment, and building maintenance * Able to climb a ladder * Able to list at least 75 pounds * Able to work in confined spaces * Able to work around a variety of chemicals without any adverse reaction or sensitivity PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR THIS POSITION 1. All work processes and policies will be documented. 2. All work will be performed according to the documentation. 3. All work will be performed in accordance with the laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which Paul Davis Emergency Services operates. 4. All work will be performed according to company policies, and up to Paul DavisEmergency Services standards. 5. All work will be performed in accordance with safety regulations pertaining to this work. 6. Customers will be treated in a courteous and professional manner. All communication with customers will be informative and courteous. 7. Employees will ALWAYS wear a company uniform in good repair when representing the company. 8. Employees will behave in a professional and mature manner when representing this company. (NO profanity, NO horseplay, etc.) 9. All job-related documentation will be brought up to date daily and placed in the proper location according to the next action to be taken. 10. Company equipment and vehicles will be kept neat, clean, and in working order at all times. 11. Must have basic computer skills, as well as the ability to use a Smartphone and Ipad/Tablet to input data and make reports. 12. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 13. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Requirements/Documents Required at time of Application: * Evidence of Experience in water, fire, mold mitigation, and or related field. * Prior knowledge of Construction practices is a plus * High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., GED, etc.) * Valid Driver s License * Copy of current driving history issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles * Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications * No felony criminal record EXAMPLES OF ASSIGNED WORK AREAS: Strength: Medium/heavy - exert force 20 - 100 lbs. frequently or 10 - 40 lbs. constantly. May involve significant stand/walk/push/pull. Physical Demands: Occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, handling, fingering, smelling and hearing. Vision: frequent near and far acuity, depth perception and color vision. Environmental Conditions: Climate controlled home/office and other settings. Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat. Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud and from occasional to frequent time periods. Exposure to fumes from solvents and chemical solutions.
