Job Responsibilities

As an SMT Technicians / Maintenance Technicians, you will work for manufacturing and electronics clients providing services and products for a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, medical and general electrical/electronics. This is a highly skilled SMT Technician role in which you will troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment used in solder environments, maintaining the line efficiency and troubleshooting side-by-side SMT Operators.

Your specific duties in this role will include:

• Performing maintenance on soldering equipment including: Pick & Place, Chip Shooters, AOIs, Screen Printers and Reflow Ovens
• Reading blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine work to be performed
• Monitoring and maintaining production efficiencies by troubleshooting equipment program editing

Job Requirements

We are looking for experienced SMT Technicians with the expertise and professionalism to perform exceptionally well and with minimal guidance in any given manufacturing situation. You must also be an excellent communicator with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience troubleshooting, maintaining and programming SMT machinery equipment Fuji & Siemens Pick & Place machines
• Solid ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods of repair
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with all levels of colleagues from entry- to engineering
• Ability to travel and commit to assignments ranging from 6 months to 1 year
• Ability to pass an in-depth background check and drug screening
• Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, including overtime for the duration of the assignment (60+ hours/weeks)
