Math Instructor/Tutor - Edina - Full-time / Part-time

Mathnasium is an innovative, math-only learning center. We are looking for someone with outstanding math skills and a heart for inspiring kids to work as a Mathnasium Instructor/Tutor where we make math make sense for Elementary, Middle and High School students. Applicant must be motivated and have a strong math background and good communication skills that positively engage students. The ability to provide instruction up to and including Algebra I are a must; capabilities for Algebra II, Geometry and Pre-Calculus are a plus. Prior classroom, tutoring or learning environment experience would also be an asset but is not required. A Mathnasium Instructor will work with up to 4 students simultaneously yet teach each of them individually, so the ability to flex from one student/grade-level to another is paramount. We require that an instructor work at least three shifts per week. During the school year, shifts are Monday through Thursday from approximately 2:45 pm to 7:45 pm and 8:45am to 12:45pm on Saturdays. Additional administrative hours may be available for the interested and qualified applicant. We are closed Sunday. Morning hours are added and evening/weekend hours shortened during the summer.
