Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to become an integral part of our team! As an SDR you are a salesperson-in-training. You are responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities and setting up appointments an Account Executive to sell and close the deal with the prospect. New hires will be put through a four-week training program designed to give you a complete sales overview of our products and services. We are an IT consulting firm selling enterprise software subscriptions, training and consulting for Red Hat and CloudBees products.This is an opportunity to be part of a new and fast growing team. SDR is a new role within OSA to increase the lead pipeline for our Account Executives. There are many opportunities for upward and cross-function promotions within the company. This role currently reports to the President until we hire or promote a VP of Sales and Marketing.Base salary plus uncapped commissions ($24k/yr on-target commissions)Your first 3-6 monthsLearn our customer personas, products and messagingLearn the tools and processes to be successful: CRM, Chat, Conferencing, etc Build relationships with the sales and consulting teamsLeverage any opportunity you can to learn the market and the businessConsistently meet goals for qualified appointment setup6-12 monthsContinue to build on your core skills and product/industry knowledgeKnow what it takes to meet or exceed your goals and maintain the momentum to do soBegin to expand your knowledge of Inside Sales duties and responsibilitiesWork with mentors to set goals for yourself to gain consideration for promotion Responsibilities:Research and prospect for new client prospectsUse phone calls, email, and social media to connect with hundreds of prospects each week in a prepared, personalized, and professional mannerSchedule quality appointments and meetings for an account executive to make a saleReach agreed upon sales targets by deadlineNetwork and build relationships with new and existing client baseWork with our marketing team to develop and implement effective email blasts and drip campaigns, blog posts, social media posts, etc Provide management with feedback and support to grow and improve the companyBuilding relationships with our partners such that they will share new account opportunities with usQualifications:Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fieldsStrong written communication skillsSome technical background or educationDeadline and detail-orientedAbility to build rapport with clientsCompetitive personality, but not at the expense of teammates' successCompany DescriptionWe empower businesses to confidently and effectively utilize open-source software for mission critical systems.
