Baker Position Location: 9836 Mission Gorge Road - Santee, CA 92071 Position Summary:The Baker bakes all sizes and flavors of cakes offered by Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) and according to the NbC standards, recipes and timelines. The Baker is responsible for maintaining the required par levels and will bake accordingly. The Baker must keep the baking station clean, sanitized and running efficiently, track inventory and order groceries and baking materials. This positions reports to the Bakery Supervisor and Regional Bakery Manager. Requirements: * Able to lift up to 80 lbs. * Possess a strong sense of teamwork. * Ability to follow instructions. * Has integrity. * Takes initiative. * Has the ability to work well under pressure. * Has strong physical stamina. * Must be able to stand, bend, lift, grab and reach. * Must be able to perform strenuous repetitive work with their hands. * Enjoys doing repetitious work and ability to do so. * Has a strong sense of pride in their work. * Ability to pay special attention to detail. * Ability to work with a sense of urgency. * Must be available to work holidays. * Has good organizational skills and can foresee problems. * Understands the importance of maintaining a clean work area. * Good communication skills with supervisors and co-workers. * Follow the NbC uniform requirements. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: * Abide by all NbC s policies and procedures. * Uphold NbC's image and brand standards and report any potential baking issues immediately. * Follow safety procedures to prevent personal injury; including; stretching, team lifting, spill cleanup. * Report any issues to supervisors in a timely manner. * Assist other departments when necessary. * Put cakes in chiller and rotate stock per NbC standards. * Alert management to issues and maintenance needs for equipment. * Bake the full line of cakes by diligently following NbC recipes. * Remove cakes from pans and properly package them. * Label bundtlet containers. * Maintain par levels of baked goods. * Monitor baking ingredients and notify supervisor if low. * Monitor baked goods inventory and notify supervisor if low. * Check in Costco and Sysco ordering and report any issues to supervisor. * Complete a daily baking log and share with supervisor. * Keep baking area, tables, equipment and tools clean and sanitized according to health code on a daily basis. * Maintain bakery cleanliness, including; waste removal, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, etc. * Maintain the execution of all health code and safety regulations. * May be eligible to be a key holder after 90 days of employment. * Complete all duties above and all other duties as assigned.
