Guest Service Representative (GSR) Position Bakery Location: 2720 Via de la Valle - Del Mar, CA 92014 Position Summary: To serve Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) guests both in person and over the phone with creative solutions in a warm and welcoming environment. The GSR will also perform side work crafting duties, bakery cleaning, and some clerical duties. This position reports to the Bakery Supervisor and/or Bakery Manager. Requirements: * Possess a strong sense of teamwork. * Ability to follow instructions. * Has integrity. * Takes initiative. * Has the ability to work well under pressure. * Outgoing and friendly personality. * Ability to pay special attention to detail. * Must be able to lift 50lbs. * Strong sales ability. * Genuine care for other s needs. * Ability to work with a sense of urgency. * Must be available to work holidays. * Follow the NbC uniform requirements. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: * Abide by all NbC s policies and procedures, including our corporate secret shop guidelines. * Uphold NbC's image and brand standards. * Assist other departments when necessary. * Follow safety procedures to prevent personal injury; including; stretching, team lifting, spill cleanup. * Introduce walk-in guests to the bakery and products with a guest tour. * Assist guests placing orders and use creative solutions. * Suggest items for sale; including but not limited to; cello wrap, decorations, balloons, candles, greetings cards, and any other retail items. * Assist phone guests by placing incoming orders. * Give cake presentations while performing visual quality control tests. * Operate & balance point of sale (POS) with accuracy and efficiency. * Assist with opening and closing the bakery according to opening and closing checklists. * Gather guests email addresses. * Keep samples available during all hours of operation. * Have knowledge of current prices, products, and promotions. * Keep retail areas clean, swept and neatly merchandised throughout the day. * Dust all retail surfaces at least twice per week, including counter tops, shelves and POS stations. * Maintain bakery cleanliness, including; waste removal, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, etc. * Carry out side work duties, including but not limited to; making boxes, fluffing bows, crafting decoration kits, etc. * Track personal retail bonus sales. * Keep front of house and crafting areas clean, organized and sanitized including, storage bins, drawers, shelves and the POS stations. * Check bakery OLO orders regularly. * Verify order information, including pricing, image and brand standards. * Follow crafting manual in putting decorations together. * Generate personalized message cards. * Coordinate order timing with frosters. * Wrap/box all frosted cakes for same-day and next-day orders. * Print and verify delivery log. * Monitor front of house and crafting inventories and report any needs to supervisors. * Complete all duties above and all other duties as assigned.
