Froster Position Bakery Location: 595 Grand Avenue - San Marcos, CA 92078 Position Summary: The Froster makes frosting and frosts all cakes according to Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) standards and time guidelines. This includes cakes available for walk-in guests, pre-ordered cakes and marketing cakes. The Froster is responsible for keeping the display case fully stocked, samples readily available and maintaining par levels of additional cakes. The Froster must keep the station clean, sanitized and running efficiently. This position reports to the Bakery Manager. Requirements: * Possess a strong sense of teamwork. * Ability to follow instructions. * Has integrity. * Takes initiative. * Has the ability to work well under pressure. * Has strong physical stamina. * Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly. * Must be able to perform strenuous repetitive work with their hands. * Outgoing and friendly personality. * Ability to pay special attention to detail. * Genuine care for other s needs. * Ability to work with a sense of urgency. * Must be available to work holidays. * Has good organizational skills * Follow the NbC Uniform requirements. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: * Abide by all NbC s policies and procedures, including corporate secret shop guidelines. * Uphold NbC's image and brand standards. * Follow safety procedures to prevent personal injury; including; stretching, team lifting, spill cleanup. * Report any issues to supervisors in a timely manner. * Assist other departments when necessary, including assisting guest with placing orders. * Keep display case stocked with ample supply of all cakes and samples. * Maintain par levels in chiller for case cakes, assorted Bundtinis and sample trays. * Make frosting when stock falls below par levels. * Frost all cakes for same-day and next-day orders. * Keep samples available during all hours of operation. * Monitor frosting ingredients and supply inventory and report any needs to supervisor. * Keep frosting area clean and sanitized at all times, including but not limited to; tables, microwave and tool bins. * Maintain bakery cleanliness, including; waste removal, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, etc. * Assist phone guests by placing incoming orders while using creative solutions. * Suggest other items in addition to guests order, including, cello wrap, decorations, balloons, candles, greeting cards, and any other retail items. * Verify order information, including pricing, image and brand standards. * Give cake presentations while performing visual quality control tests. * Operate point of sale (POS) with accuracy and efficiency. * Assist with opening and closing the bakery according to opening and closing checklists. * Gather guests email addresses via phone. * Have knowledge of current prices, products, and promotions. * Carry out side work duties, including but not limited to; making boxes, fluffing bows, crafting decoration kits, etc. * Track personal retail bonus sales. * Follow crafting manual in putting decorations together. * Must be able to box frosted cakes. * Must be able to decorate and wrap frosted cakes. * Generate personalized message cards. * Coordinate order timing with Guest Service Representative. * Print and verify delivery log. * Complete all duties above and all other duties as assigned.
