Beer-tender (Bartender) - Full-time / Part-time

We are a 400-seat restaurant/brewery directly adjacent to the Eastside BeltLine with a main bar, rooftop bar, and several special event spaces. We serve only our house-brewed beers, plus non-alcoholic beverages, so you will be able to focus all your energy and attention on (what we hope is) your favorite libation. He/she will be responsible for optimizing guest experience, assessing and meeting patrons needs, while working as part of a large, cohesive team. Duties and Responsibilities: * Be timely and dependable. * Absorb and communicate detailed information around a frequently-changing beer & food menu. * Actively anticipate guests needs and address issues in a proactive, appropriate manner. * Maintain a safe and secure work environment. * Perform transactions accurately and efficiently via Aloha POS. * Perform opening/closing tasks and sidework duties as a self-starter. * Learn and execute optimal draft maintenance techniques and constantly work to serve perfect beer. * Recognize and potentially address, with the assistance of management, intoxicated, disruptive, or threatening patrons. * Consistently meet all best practice standards set in employee handbook and during training. Education and Experience: * Secondary-level education required. * 2+ years of experience in a restaurant or other customer service setting. * Be 21+ at time of employment. Skills and Abilities: * Ability to work under pressure, calmly but with a sense of urgency. * Proficiency in written and verbal communication. * Ability to work a variable schedule, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Ability to work as a team player, maintaining open and honest communication with colleagues and management. * Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs. * All serve staff will be required to pass Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam within 4 weeks of hire, and TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol training within 2 weeks of hire. Although we will provide intensive training, a serious personal commitment to growth and improvement are necessary.
