About this job

The CNC Operator operates multiple conventional and Swissmachines to fabricate parts. The CNC Operator loads parts in the machine,cycles the machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as wornor damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates withco-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized andclean work environment.



ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTION


Performs all assigned machine shop operations with the abilityto read blueprints understanding both metric and standard measurement scales.


Detects and reports defective materials or questionableconditions to management or designee.


Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderlycondition and follows prescribed safety procedures.


Regularly performs turning, milling, drilling, tapping, andde-burring tasks.


Performs inspection of machined products, and documentsresults.


Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.


Assists in other work areas as needed




JOB REQUIREMENTS


High School diploma or equivalent. Technical school traininga plus.


A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturingenvironment.


Must be able to read and write comments, understandoperation sheets/blueprints, specifications and all applicable company/customerpaperwork.


Must be able to read and edit CNC programs.


Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, comparators,and micro-height.


Strong technical and analytical ability


Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
