Lead Carpenter - Full-time / Part-time

We are Archadeck of the Foothills, a small business specializing in Outdoor Living (Decks, Pergolas, Covered porches, etc.) We build the job from start to finish. This includes digging holes and pouring concrete, and everything from framing to finish work. We would like to hire the rightcandidate as soon as possible, with work starting immediately. Lead Carpenter Job Description Archadeck of the Foothills is founded on excellent Customer Service and Professionalism. Lead carpenters must be on time (to be early is to be on time!) and take pride in what you do. The right candidate must be able to cultivate a positive atmosphere, lead with a positive attitude when the going gets tough, and maintain the highest level of craftsmanship, professionalism, efficiency and respect. Our lead carpenter must be teachable and willing to ask questions, learn from mistakes and also be willing to be held accountable in all areas. Must be self-motivated and a great problem solver. The right candidate will have at least five years of construction experience with at least 2 years specializing in decks. Must be able to read plans, be organized and be a positive, effective communicator. Must be able to multitask, give directions and be able to train new employees. Must have a working knowledge of Residential Building Code (IRC/ICC) and how it applies to decks. Almost all of our work is outside so candidates must be willing to work in the elements. Candidates must be able to speak English fluently and effectively with clients and co-workers. Lead carpenters must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive anywhere in the Denver Metro Area to jobsites. For those with a truck they are willing to use occasionally for business purposes we will provide a small vehicle stipend to cover your own gas, insurance and maintenance. This is a full-time position with plenty of opportunity for overtime during our busy season. As a lead carpenter we want you to be invested in the success of the company, so this position includes a competitive hourly wage plus bonus pay.
