Brand Ambassador / Demonstrator / Merchandiser - Part Time

Job level: Entry level Years of experience: 2 Start Date: ASAP Demonstrators work part-time as members of the Design Assistant team to engage consumers in an energetic and confident manner and provide guest with educated information about Installation by DC products in select locations. A Demonstrators job is to showcase a wide variety of window treatment (blinds, shutters, shades and drapery) while assisting in the sale of window treatment products to achieve company specified sales goals. Demonstrators are outgoing, friendly and suppliers to specific home need concerns. Demonstrations occur Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; including weekend holidays. Demonstrators must work a minimum of 3 out of 4 weekends per month within an assigned location. Demonstrators have flexible hours of up to 8 hour daily shifts. Responsibilities: * willing to work up to 8 hour shifts daily * willing to travel at least 25 miles radius to site * willing to work on incentive/commission sales * standing for long periods * ensure all assets remain in excellent condition * manage inventory of all assets including sample books, brochures, and lead sheets * present professional appearance and wear specifically required apparel * build strong relationships with in-store manager, designer and market manager * ensure on time arrivals during training and event activations * maintain working knowledge of client products * book potential leads while creating a positive experience within store and consumers Requirements: * at least 2 years experience in retail/sales environment * An appeal for home d cor or in home furnishing projects * Are driven to achieve results * flexible schedule * Comfortable communicating with client contacts * minimum of 18 years of age * ability to stand for up to 8 hours * reliable transportation with valid driver s license * Have a professional, positive attitude and willingness to be a team player * ability to respond well under pressure * understanding of both marketing & sales fundamentals Experience and Skills: * Exceptional verbal skills (Ease of starting conversations) * sales driven and goal oriented Hourly Pay Rate: $14/hour LOCATIONS for Demonstrations: Glenview, IL Melrose Park, IL Bloomingdale, IL Lake Zurich, IL Mt.
