Field Service Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer, Quad Cities (based out of Chicago IL.)

Job description / Mission
Responsible for responding to scheduled and emergency field repair of Atlas Copco equipment. Excellent troubleshooting, repair, communication, interactive, computer and product skill sets will be required to help resolve tooling or production issues.

Troubleshoot and repair field problems.
Generate detailed Field Service Report for customer and update Field Service database.
Inspect warranty claims from Customers.
Train customers in the correct operation of Atlas Copco equipment.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Flexible work hours are a requirement.
Will require 25% travel locally, 60% travel nationally.
Ability to maintain focus and work to the job is complete
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on customer site
Some weekends and OT will be required

Experience Requirements
Experience servicing Atlas Copco fastening equipment, high volume automotive production, torque theory and fastening knowledge are required. Minimum 5 years experience working on pneumatic and DC power tooling in a production environment.

Knowledge / Educational requirements
Experience servicing Atlas Copco fastening equipment, high volume automotive production, torque theory and fastening knowledge are required. Minimum 5 years of experience working on pneumatic and DC power tooling in a production environment. High level ofskill in software and configuration is a must.

Personality requirements
An independent self-starter with excellent writing and people skills. Ability to perform troubleshooting procedures under pressure.

USA, Quad Cities (Chicago IL.) Candidate must live in this territory. Extensive travel is involved.
