GIS Technician I Description Atlas 10 provides the highest level of quality service in pavement maintenance and repair by using advanced GPS mapping and GIS data management technologies. The GIS Technician I will create maps and customized geographic information systems (GIS) applications and manipulate data to serve a variety of purposes. Work tasks will include data entry, map making, and report generation. In addition, the technician is required to gain a basic to intermediate knowledge of pavement management, and the methodologies described in ASTM D6433 (Standard Practice for Roads and Parking Lots Pavement Condition Index Surveys). Requirements Education: Bachelor s in GIS or a related field with a focus in GIS. Software: Intermediate to expert knowledge of ArcGIS and Microsoft Office. Level of Experience: This is an entry level position, and will go to the most qualified applicant with a recently obtained bachelor s degree in a relevant field. Travel This position may require travel.
