In-Home Cook II / Event Specialist As an In-Home Cook II/Event Specialist, your time will be shared between working with weekly dinner clients as well as special event clients. You can expect to spend about 50% of your time working with weekly dinner clients, and 50% of your time on events. (The exact percentages may change with business needs.) As an Event Specialist, your specific responsibilities will be to: * Lead and execute dinner parties and events as scheduled, including planning, shopping, prepping, transport, and cleanup * Manage many, and changing, details regarding specific client needs, allergies, kitchen equipment, etc * Travel to events, transporting all needed grocery items and equipment * Collaborate with the sales staff to ensure all event details are understood and met * Manage event costs, adhering to labor, grocery, and equipment/supply budgets * Contribute to seasonal and special menu creation * Complete post-event reports for each event * Maintain shared catering kitchen environment according to regulations * Manage and coordinate team and equipment for each event as needed * Develop and foster relationships with dinner party clients As an In-Home Cook, your specific responsibilities will be to: * Communicate directly with clients to understand their on-going in-home food needs * Create thoughtful, personalized weekly menus for your client to satisfy their requests * Shop for needed ingredients and transport them to the client s home * Execute menus and store food properly * Gather feedback to customize service for each client * Maintain and clean the client s home kitchen and pantry space * Shop for all needed ingredients and execute menus within client s budget and schedule * Research menus and seek guidance and support from team as needed * Maintain client food preferences records for seamless transition of clients among our chef team Requirements: * Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and their situations * A positive and professional attitude and team mindset * Strong communication skills in-person, written, and by phone * Comfortable with vague information and ambiguity * Flexible and resourceful * Culinary Certificate or Degree * At least five years of experience in a professional kitchen * Can move and lift up to 80 lbs * Variable hours, evenings and weekends required * Current ServSafe Food Manager s certification * Reliable car with space to transport a large cooler and equipment * Clean background check, non-smoker, without offensive tattoos or piercings The right person for this position will have the flexibility to start as an hourly employee as they learn the art and craft of our trade.
