In Home Cook I As an In-Home Cook I, your time will be spent primarily working with weekly dinner clients and helping out with events as needed. You can expect the bulk of your work to be Monday Friday, with about 2 4 weekend events per month. On our team you will: * Learn to master the execution and plating of the finest world cuisines, as well as making pink pancakes and other kid-friendly foods * Listen, listen, and listen more to what your client s needs are, and then deliver * Develop interesting, down-to-earth menus for your client s each week * Help families celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and more. This may not be the best fit for you. * Utilize technology and phone apps to make work more efficient, easier, and collaborative * Know the grocery stores around Atlanta inside and out you ll be saying hi to your friendly cashiers every day * Sharpen your culinary skills (and your knives!) with a talented team who have paved the way before you, and will continue to lead and inspire you as you develop * Communicate about food via email, phone, and in-person in a professional, helpful manner * Plan and execute different types of events, and afterwards, look back and be proud of what you ve accomplished Let s talk specifics: * You ll be the paid professional so a culinary certificate or degree is a must * You ll be working solo at least 50% of the time, so you ll preferably you ll have at least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, upscale, modern restaurant * You ll be planning menus for your clients each week so you must know how to write menus and communicate via email * You ll be driving all around town so you must have a reliable car, patience in traffic, and a good play-list to keep your sanity * You ll be working Monday Friday, but you ll be working evenings and weekends too, especially during our busy season * You ll be in some of the finest homes in Atlanta so no smoking, potty mouths, or offensive tattoos * You ll also be around kids and in client s homes, so you must be able to pass a comprehensive background check The right person for this position will have the flexibility to start as an hourly employee as they learn the art and craft of our trade. Starting hourly pay is typically between $14-$15 per hour.
