POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop learning and practicing experiences, through the creation of engaging learning activities and compelling course content. They will work with subject matter experts to identify target audiences training needs and requires the ability to apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods to all programs. They would be responsible to facilitate train the trainer sessions to prepare the Clinical Services Trainers for classroom facilitation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Director of Training & Development to follow ADDIE model for instructional design to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive training programs
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
- Work with subject matter experts and identify target audiences training needs
- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Decide on the criteria used to judge learners performance and develop assessment instruments
- Maintain project documentation and course folders
- Facilitate Train-the-Trainer in both skill based classroom training and virtual training sessions
- Participate in ongoing learning externally by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to implement training processes which are unique to CareSync values and mission to provide care coordination services
- Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
- Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System (Cornerstone, TalentLMS, Silkroad, etc)
- Virtual classroom experience (Adobe Connect, Skype for Business, etc)
- Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) and ability to storyboard
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
- Maintain integrity, honesty and accuracy in the representation of the company while adhering to all Federal, State and HIPAA company guidelines
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar preferred
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in corporate training or equivalent educational background
- Satisfactory combination of education, training and experience
