DIRECTOR OF WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS AND LOGISTICS The Director of Warehouse Operations and Logistics will be responsible for the overall warehouse budget and management of all warehouse operations, asset management, inventory, cloth and carpet production, transportation logistics, and shipping and receiving for the successful execution of all lines of business. The director will work in tandem with show site operations for the successful execution of all lines of business within budget. The director will also coordinate with the fabrication and graphic department directors within the facility. POSITION REPORTS TO:Executive Director of Operations RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Recruit, hire, train, manage and motivate all assigned personnel * Planning, budgeting and effective supervision of fulltime, temporary, flex and contract labor to include the weekly, monthly and yearly labor cost projections. Develop accountabilities and a plan to reduce overall contractor labor. * Plan and manage the work assignments and work flow processes of all resources and labor. Work with department to determine start times of shifts based on workload. Oversee all shifts necessary for the warehouse operation. * Accountable to oversee transportation logistics operations to ensure products and equipment arrive on schedule and without damage to show site or for client deliveries locally and across the country with accurate inventories and manifests for efficient tracking and deployment of equipment. * Direct all dock operations to ensure efficient operations, accurate inventories and manifests of all loads and shipments and the return and inventory of all products and equipment as well as client-own products. * Be responsible for all resources to include dock, shipping and receiving workers, drivers, trucks and motorized equipment; ensure all are properly licensed and serviced for the safest more efficient operation. * Responsible for shipping and receiving department to ensure we provide the highest quality of services to our client and meet budget requirements * Accountable for asset management and inventory of all company-owned products, props/dcor items, and equipment as well as client-owned inventory. * Ensure the proper storage, access and usage, maintenance, servicing and repairs of all products and equipment and the communications and inventories systems used throughout the organization. * Work with the executive director on the capital purchases program for the proper amount of capital investments; conduct the necessary research and prototyping needed to ensure we have the best possible equipment at the right inventory levels for the most efficient operation. * Direct the drape and cloth operations to include production/processing, inventory, maintenance, cleaning, and alterations for the efficient processing of each job. * Direct the carpet operations to include production/processing, inventory, maintenance, cleaning and alterations for the efficient processing of each job. * Responsible for the overall warehouse work flow process and ongoing assessment, review, and update of departmental procedures, processes to produce high quality, efficient, and cost effective operations * Responsible for clean and orderly warehouse on a daily basis * Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment on and off location at all times. Responsible to oversee DOT and OSHA compliance including current forklift certified operators. * Responsible for post-accident investigation and testing * Member of the safety committee and responsible for initiating safety practices * Other duties as assigned.
