MAINTENANCE MECHANIC * Our client is a $10 billion food manufacturing facility located in Bensenville, IL * They are part of a larger organization that offers great benefits, a lot of overtime, and a great team environment * The facility is in the process of adding 2 mechanics to their operation due to increasing the footprint of the facility and adding 2 automated facilities * These jobs will be on 2ndor 3rd shift * People who we have placed at this company describe them as fast paced, good challenge, respectful and place that cares about their employees successes * Local candidates required and sponsorship is not available POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime * Maintain and repair equipment in operation, which includes packaging equipment,extruders, pumps, motors, conveyors, presses, PLCs, VFDs and similar equipment. * Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot machineryto ensure continuous production operations * Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting * Provide scheduled PMs * Be proactive and run projects to ensure operation runs smoothly. * Work with a highly skilled, well tenuredteam of 20+ mechanics and electricians JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * Prefer Associates or other technical discipline or an equivalent combination of training and experience * 1-10 years of maintenance experience within in a manufacturing environment. Food experience is preferred but not required * Equally qualified with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting * Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Allen Bradley PLC controllers and variance frequency drives (VFDs) is a plus. * Programming experience is a plus * Experience troubleshooting motors, conveyors, packaging equipment, pumps, VFDs, robotics,hydraulics and pneumatics * Self-motivated, positive attitude and punctual
