We re approved by the Kentucky VA Geriatric and Extended Care program to provide personal care, respite & home maker services for vets and their family caregivers. We need experienced caregivers who want rewarding, part-time work on a recurring weekly schedule. Pay is between $12 and $14 hour depending upon the client s approved services. The VA approves many of these vets for shifts of 2 - 4 hours, 2 or 3 times a week. The VA also provides some of the veterans' family caregivers with 30 days of \"respite\" care to give them a break. These are six hour shifts which pay $11 - $12/hr. These are great part-time jobs for the right person! JOB REQUIREMENTS * At least one year of experience, including clinicals, if you are a CNA, nursing student, and/or caring for family members * C.N.A. certificate not required but is a plus! * Pass work style fit survey * Must have at least a High school diploma, or G.E.D. * Provide valid driver's license, Social Security card/proof of residence, auto insurance * Results of current TB test or x-ray (Less than 9 months ago) * Reliable door to door transportation, working cell phone and quick response (use of email and texting is a plus!) * Pass FBI Fingerprint check, drug screen, KY Nurse Aide Abuse Registry search & skills test * Solid employment references from direct supervisors/good work history * Minimum age: 18
