Field Electrician

Job required 80% travel, most of which is within 2 hours drive of Hanover Park. Infrequent travel is required nation wide overnight. DUTIES: * Install and maintain wiring, control, and systems on site at customer locations * Inspect electrical componentssuch as transformers, circuit breakers, motor starters and proportional cards * Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing equipment * Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or components using hand tools and power tools QUALIFICATIONS: * Color Vision: Industrial Electricians work with colored wiring and must be able to identify them by sight. * Troubleshooting: Industrial electricians must be able to find the root cause of issues and think logically about solutions. * Customer Service: Industrial electricians often work for many different customers, and must be friendly when working on site. * Critical Thinking: When diagnosing problems, industrial electricians must think critically in their process of repairing the issue. * Mechanical Skills: Industrial electricians read blueprints and schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts.
