JOB SUMMARY : Manage import transactions, including all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. Expediting transaction and entry processing to meet customer expectation sand government requirements. Provide customs clearance activities for multiple types of entry and commodities. Perform clearance on all OGA (other governmental agency) requirements as prescribed by regulatory requirements or customs specific procedures. Produce and complete additional documentation and assist import customers in the completion of additional documentation as prescribed by regulatory requirement. May also perform duties related to documentation preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process goods through Customs and affect timely delivery. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts, including all entry types prepared according to regulatory requirements and customer commitments or by direction of the team leader or supervisor. Process documents through the CLASS import system and interface with other CEVA systems to provide updates and communications for internal and external customers to produce timely and compliant customs brokerage transactions. Assist in work stream development of new accounts including reviewing all documentation and forms, maintaining communications with clients, reviewing their import process on a regular basis, and maintaining client profiles and databases. Obtain Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import account. Process Customs release, OGA release, delivery of cargo, and invoicing to importer for services defined within customer and company standards. Identify and complete transaction tasks that require special handling or expediting to produce compliant customs entry processing. Review all Customs entries and client invoice packages prior to distribution. Advises supervisor of any problems or irregularities. Proactively communicate to clients the status of their shipments. Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Knowledge, Experience & Skills : Essential Requirements Education & Certifications High School Diploma or GED required. Experience Minimum four to six years related experience required. Minimum one to three years industry experience preferred. Specialist Knowledge & Skills Professional certification may be required in some areas. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. or international currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements. Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve performance. Read, analyze and interpret complex procedures or regulations and write correspondence and procedural documents. Recommends solutions to common problems. Gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit. Consistently at work and on time. Interpersonal & Communication Skills Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
