GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Plant Administrator position is responsible for performing a variety of clerical & human resource support duties. This position assists in maintaining the human resource database and all employee records and files. It also assists with payroll processing. This position also provides recommendations regarding the development and administration of human resource policies and programs at their location. Assists with employee onboarding and represents company in its cultural journey so that new employees start learning from the first day they enter our facility. Performs general office support functions and assists area personnel as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Keeps all information dealing with personal and proprietary nature secret, confidential, and secure at all times.
  • Assists with Recruiting, interviews, tests and helps selects employees to fill vacant positions
  • Conducts employee onboarding to foster a positive culture and attitude towards company goals Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Performs E-Verify, Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
  • Performs payroll tasks, including entering new hires, benefits and verifying time and attendance weekly.
  • Assists with preparation of employee separation notices, related documentation (i.e. unemployment claims) and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
  • Maintains employee attendance in system and prepares warnings as necessary for management
  • Keep all employees records in a professional and organized manner, keep everything scanned and stored on Server. (No sensitive data should be stored on local computers)
  • File Workers compensation claims with provider
  • Ensure Safety Incident Reports are completed and communicated properly
  • Maintain OSHA Logs
  • Coordinate weekly safety meetings with team each weak and keep notes
  • Assist supervisors and ensure weekly training is completed
  • Coordinate with HR Manager and the Corporate Safety & Training Manager on safety issues
  • Answer phone calls and assist in a professional manner.
  • Assist guests and contractors by contacting the appropriate person, or providing information and badges as necessary.
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned
  • Receive all PO's and double check them
  • Ensure all paperwork relating to accounting gets to Lima
  • File all paperwork for accounting and Misc.
  • Keeps office supply closet organized and stocked
  • Receive and distribute all FedEx's in the AM and PM. Contact FedEx Ground when shipments are necessary.
  • Create FedEx labels as necessary for shipments.
  • Gets USPS mail and distributes
  • Do any clean-up necessary in office
  • Assists Plant Manager & HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • And any other duties assigned
    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Ability to multi-task and work independently
    • Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment
    • Some experience with HR & Payroll administration
    • Strong typing and computer application skills
