JOB SUMMARY

Provides Operations & Maintenance (O&M) customer service support within the Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) inventory storeroom.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for issuing stock parts, materials, supplies, maintenance tools, and maintenance spot buy materials.


Responsible for accurately tracking issued materials through the use of a hand held scanner (or computer) in conjunction with the CMMS (where applicable) or performing physical cycle counts.


Responsible for daily spot inventory checks and notifying the supervisor of any part, critical spare, or materials that have reached the minimum on hand level as designated, and recording them on the appropriate documentation.


Responsible for data entry of issued materials into the CMMS System.


Responsible to help with stocking in the appropriate location within the tool crib or designated area.


Maintains work area (i.e. crib area entranceways) in a clean, orderly condition (ie daily cleaning).


Responsible for aiding supervisor in completing quarterly physical inventories.


Responsible for manning the tool crib when the plant is in production or there is maintenance scheduled.


Maintains a strong work relationship with Maintenance and Production as well as all Engineers, Automation Technicians, Quality Technicians, Tool Room personnel and Mechanics to insure strong communications concerning any and all parts requirements/concerns.


Responsible for Kitting Requirements.


Must be able to safely operate a forklift and aerial lift.


Must be able to submit timesheets accurately on a daily basis.


Must enforce JCI Tool Crib rules ensure forms are complete, accurate, & timely (includes consumption, issues, stock out, cycle counts).


For after hour delivery of items you must to the following so that our receiver has all necessary components to complete job. Tool Crib Attendant will visually confirm item with quantity of deliver & sign the packing slip with the date of deliver.


If packing slip is not available, Tool Crib Attendant will use statement receiving book located at the receiving table with as much information as possible.


When issuing items, if item description must be updated please pass that information to the purchasing specialist so they can add it to the description.


Performs other job-related duties as requested.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate tasks with coworkers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires no basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Good organizational skills.

Ability to use computer system to record materials received and shipped. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical ability to assist with warehouse operations. Able to lift 50 lbs.

Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
