Essential Functions of the Job: * Possess the ability to obtain customer specifications, details, and preferences in developing a bid for the lease of trucks. * Assist in developing and implementing a lease sales and marketing program. * Develop and maintain relationships with large volume lease customers. * Provide weekly and monthly sales reports to management as required. * Achieve lease revenue, expense control, and profitability objectives. * Establish Idealease rates for various equipment types through market analysis. * Maintain a customer /prospect sales database. * Assist in the preparing of the Annual business Plan. * Be able to develop a good and positive relationship with the customers externally and internally. * Demonstrate honest and ethical business practices. * Be able to prospect and market for the sale of the truck inventory. * Develop and use a systematic approach to lease sales calls utilizing telemarketing, mailers, and personal customer visits. * Maintain a current and accurate customer turndown log. * Possess the ability to obtain a CDL License. * Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. * Be able to use CRM and input data into the system on a daily basis. * Time management and highly organized skills are necessary. * Must be able to develop a sales strategy for a territory. * Any other duties that are assigned by management. Flexibility is necessary to meet the business needs of the company. Rental Operations: * Develop and maintain policies and procedures for Lease Operations, to include: check-in/check-out of equipment, vehicle files, customer files, and daily yard checks. * Daily interactions with the Service department to ensure Lease equipment is maintained according to company standards and DOT regulations. * Develop and maintain a system for daily yard checks and reporting of lease utilization to management. * Develop and maintain a system for customer insurance files, verifying customer coverage is documented and on file. * Follow company procedures regarding credit policies. * Develop and maintain a rental billing routine to ensure accurate and timely billing of lease charges to customers. * Utilize daily yard check to focus marketing efforts on excess and under-utilized equipment. * Compare actual financial results monthly to the Business Plan and initiate corrective action as needed to ensure gross margin goals are accomplished. * Assist in collection of past due invoices as needed. * Safeguard company assets by maintaining strong internal controls. Qualifications for the position: * 2 to 4 years of related experience in the trucking industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * College education is desired, but not necessary. * Excellent communication skills internally and externally. * Be able to multi-task and meet deadlines, when necessary. * Possess the skills to promote and maintain a positive work environment. * PC skills required along with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel. * Ability to communicate effectively through use of e-mail. * Must be self-motivated and have good written and verbal communication skills. * Must conduct his / her self in a professional manner with internal and external customers. * Be able to obtain a CDL license.
