Job Summary

The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of digital content on websites and systems that support web properties. This role is also responsible for publishing creative content on a daily basis across different social media networks/accounts. They will ensure content governance rules and policies are enforced. Responsibilities will include gathering, prioritizing, testing, updating, and scheduling the release of digital content.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with project managers, developers, designers and IS to develop, implement, and maintain corporate web sites and applications that adhere to brand standards and strategies.
  • Possess solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical standards and requirements to various audiences.
  • Exhibit an enthusiastic and proactive attitude, as well as comfort with working in a corporate environment.
  • Motivated self-starter that keeps up with new web trends and tools and is not afraid of early adoption of solutions.
  • Experience reviewing and modifying content to ensure optimization for Web and social networks.
  • An eye for design
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and high ability for attention to detail.
  • Capable of working with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of landing page strategies and best practices.

Required Technical Skill Set:

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Products
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Experience working with content management systems
  • Experience working with a social media management system
  • Understanding of Bootstrap framework a plus
  • Ektron experience a plus
  • Sitecore experience a plus

Proficiency in:

  • Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop
  • Image optimization standards for the web
  • Cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and web standards
  • Mobile and tablet site testing
  • SEO
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
  • Video and audio usage for the web
  • Social networks (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Google+)

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • 1-2 years experience in web site content management.
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred but not required.
