Job DescriptionMust have a background in sheet metal fabrication with AutoCAD - Inventor (preference given to those with experience with restaurant equipment)Autodesk Inventor Sheet Metal Designer Software, Shop Data Systems, SolidWorks/SolidEdge is a plus.Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency with 3D modeling.
- Create flat patterns with bend deductions, K factor.
- Must be able to acquire missing information and learn to ask the necessary questions to complete the task.
- Must be able to create mechanical, assembly and welding manufacturing packages.
- Manage multiple projects at the same time and be able to complete tasks quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Uses Microsoft Office to create documents such as Bills of Material, Material Request, Shop Travelers, etc.
- Develop new skills and cross train to get the work done.Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for creation and editing of CAD drawings in both 2D and 3D.
- Directly responsible for providing accurate shop floor manufacturing drawings and travelers.
- Must be able to adjust priorities.
- Interact effectively and communicate with co-workers and customers.
- Download drawings and specification from customers FTP sites and vendor s websites.
- Maintain/update CAD library of standard drawings as needed.
- Review and improve design for manufacturing efficiency.Other:
- Must have METAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE. The following experience is NOT relevant: Architecture, Electrical, Landscape, Piping, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of standard sheet metal fabricating practices used in a CNC sheet metal manufacturing operation.
