Summary/Objective The BrightStar Care of Greater Waukesha & Lake Country is an independently owned and operated business looking for a dedicated Caregiver who is just as passionate as we are about giving care to the highest standard. As a member of our team you are supported by office staff and supervised by the Director of Nursing. Your skills and talents are to be used to perform various personal care services as necessary to meet the needs of the client(s). The client in need is a 14 year old girl with Autism who is combative and non-verbal. The mother needs some relief during the week in order to run errands and to maintain the household. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position is Part-time with Full-time hours as an option. Below are the available shifts that are available Shifts Available: * Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM *subject to chnage based on client's needs Benefits/Compensation The Pay Rate is dependent upon your experience and certifications Caregiver $9.00 per hour CBRF $10.00 per hour C.N.A $11 per hour Benefits: * Weekly pay with direct deposit option * Weekend opportunities * One on one patient care * Variety of assignments, procedures and treatments Essential Functions Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice and individuality as illustrated by the following: * Provides individualized attention, which encourages each client s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. * Is knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for client, and provides support to the client according to their care plan. * Attends to the individual needs of client which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, and range of motion, communicating or other needs in keeping with the individuals care requirements. * Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of client in the delivery of services to them. Interacts with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment. * Observes client for changes in condition or behavior and promptly reports these changes to the BrightStar Care Director of Nursing. * Lifts, moves and transport(s) (a) client(s), using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention. * Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the clients, visitors, families, peers and supervisors. * Assists and escorts clients for appointments such as at the beauty shop or attending activities or church services. Participates in activities and functions as directed. * Completes certified nursing assistant records documenting care provided or other information in keeping with BrightStar Care policies. * Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal of soiled materials. Work Environment & Travel While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and some mechanical equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of patient conditions and elements. The noise level is moderate to quiet. Client may request for you to accompany them as they run errands or you may be sent out to run errands for the client. The errands included but are not limited to the following: * Grocery store * Doctor s appointment * Dental appointment * Familial visits * Pet care Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.
