The Catering Manager s mission is to develop, grow and manage a full service catering division for Boqueria to cater events outside the restaurant in addition to selling events in each of our NYC locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create Boqueria s catering product by collaborating with the Executive Chef, the Brand Director, and Beverage Director to develop and price catering menus and packages that can be easily and consistently produced to represent the restaurant offsite. Define market and develop Marketing and Sales efforts to generate $750K in sales in the first year of operation, building to $2M by the third year. Develop our capabilities with a mix of internal and external resources to execute events that impress clients and lead to repeat business while meeting profitability targets. Other duties as needed or required. Key Relationships: * Executive Chef * Brand Director * Director of Operations * Catering Chef * General Managers Qualifications & Skills: (Abilities) REQUIRED: * Highly organized and detail oriented in planning all aspects of catered events * Experience with CRM software and applications necessary to prepare planning documents, budgets and reports. * Ability to lead and manage a wide range of staff from FOH to BOH. * Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. * Knowledge of food and beverage safety and permit laws as they apply to offsite catering. * Intuitive understanding of restaurant service. * Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan ahead. * Extensive food and beverage knowledge, and understanding of Boqueria concept and culture. PREFERRED: * Knowledge of Spanish cuisine and wine. * Ability to speak Spanish. * Previous experience minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
