Position Summary:

The Operations Analyst will work across all areas of Operations (Billing, Contract Management and Customer Care, Quality and Collections) measuring performance against defined metrics, performing regular audits to ensure smooth and reliable operations and assisting the team with any other analyses needed to assist with proactive opportunity identification. This role will assist with measuring and driving accountability within Operations.

Education & Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree required.

- 4 or more years of experience in a Business Operations environment preferred

- Six Sigma or Lean certification and experience a plus

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

- Customer Focused.

- Process driven with meticulous attention to detail.

- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

- Advanced level experience of Excel (leverage formulas, pivot tables, power pivots, simple VBA functions)

- Intermediate to advanced experience of Microsoft Access (create/modify tables, create/modify relationships, create reports and forms).

- Intermediate level experience of Visio

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Work with operations management and teams to enhance and progress daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting model with the ability to source data from several inputs in several different formats.

- Conduct daily audits across operations to support adherence to business controls, policies and procedures.

- Report daily departmental metrics to operations management and senior AEP Energy management.

- Identify reporting trends, raise awareness and propose solutions to mitigate developing issues.

- Assist with modeling and queuing to assist with departmental and process decisions.

- Owner of small to medium Operations projects as assigned.

- Ad-hoc reporting/analysis.

- Assist with documentation of business processes.

- Research and analysis of industry trends.

- Benchmarking of our internal capabilities against industry peers or published benchmarks.

- Contribute to company strategy and leverage knowledge and experience to drive innovation.

- Other duties as assigned by the Director, Operations.
