Grill Cook

Colonial Cafe is currently looking for strong candidates to fill evening shift positions. Starting hourly wages can be up to $12/hour based on skill and experience. Benefits for qualifying team members with the company over a year include paid vacation time and health insurance benefits. LEAD grill cooks should be able to work any position on the line after learning recipes provided. LEAD Grill cooks with Colonial Cafe are responsible for ensuring guests receive WOW! service with accurate and timely execution of our menu items. Grill cooks are responsible for prep, portioning and stocking of food items. Grill cooks are responsible for knowing and executing menu items according to Colonial Cafe standard operating procedures. Grill cooks also ensure proper plate presentation. Grill cooks are responsible for opening, perpetual and closing cleaning sidework duties. Grill cooks are responsible for maintaining foods at safe, proper temperatures. Grill cooks will be required to attain a Safe Food Handlers certification. * Must have 3+ years restaurant work experience * Must be able to execute recipes according to company standards * Must be able to communicate effectively in English * Must be able to read orders from POS screens * Must have strong organizational and multitasking skills, sense of urgency and be able to adapt to situations quickly * Must be able to be on feet for 6-8 hours * Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
