415 Catering is seeking a talented, motivated executive sous chef to lead early morning/daytime production for one of the Bay Area's leading daily dining programs.Our corporate dining program is one segment within a chef-directed, full-service events planning and catering company in SF's Dogpatch district (see foxtailcatering.com and lrecatering.com). We endeavor to bring Michelin-level culinary standards to a catering setting. Our culinary leadership comes from top-rated restaurant kitchens in the Bay Area and elsewhere, and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to work consistently with talented cooks from some of the best kitchens in the area. The exec sous chef position is a demanding position that requires a high degree of dedication, organization, and flexibility. Management style is as important to us as culinary knowledge -- we seek a manager who will lead by example and who can use an instructive style to empower and motivate his or her team to give their all on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate teamwork but who will also take ownership over this program to help us make it the unequivocal best of its kind in the city.Minimum Job Requirements*2-4 years kitchen management experience required. 3-5 years experience in fine dining restaurant kitchens including Michelin starred, SF Chronicle 3-Starred or higher, or the equivalent. 1-3 years catering experience preferred*Must be fluent in English and conversant in Spanish.*Familiarity and comfort with a wide range of global cuisines and must have a passion for food, and an interest in both fine dining and exceptional, approachable cuisine*Flexibility with hours and responsibilities. Expected needed coverage will be Monday-Friday but flexibility is desired.*Excellent organization and communication skills; Must be proactive, detail-oriented, accountable and professional*Strong work ethic, leads by example, teaching-focused style*Servsafe Certified with Manager Certification*Computer Savvy*Able to work on your feet for 10 hours, lift and carry 50+ lb*Ability to make two year commitment preferredIf you are interested and qualified, please apply!
